The holiday apartment :

The holiday apartment is approx. 36 m² large and lies centrally located just 1200 m to Alexanderplatz (Mitte-district and historical city-center) in the district Berlin - Prenzlauer Berg, near the livly Kollwitz Platz, the heart of this East-Berlin region. By 24-hour Metro-Tram M2 right in front of the house it takes only 5 min to Alexanderplatz. It has a 22 m² large terrace with a wonderful view over the roofs of the Prenzlauer Berg, because it is almost under the roof on the sixth floor (with elevator). The house is a new building with elevator and underground car park.

The holiday apartment has a modern arrangment. The livingroom and bedroom are separated with a room divider (shelves) and has two beds, an additional bed-couch and Kabel-TV. Your own bathroom has a large bathtub (also possible for shower) and WC. The modern kitchen is with everything you need for a short stay in Berlin (microwave, dishwasher, 2 ceran hotplates, refrigerator, coffeemaker, toaster, dishes). A babybed (cot) is available on request.

Furthermore there is a wardrobe beside the bath, hair dryer, iron with ironing board as well as a city map, books about Berlin in different languages, radio, CD-player, different family games and two umbrellas.

The holiday apartment is very quietly situated, with the windows all facing South-West onto the large, green court.

The prices :

Minimum stay 3 nights, final cleaning fee 25 Euro,
underground car park 5 Euro per night. (height: max 1.50 m)

In the cleaning fee are bedlinen, 1 towel and 1 bath-towel per person and as equipment also toiletpaper dishwasher-soap, soap for dishes included. Further towels and bathrobes in different sizes can be borrowed for a extra charge from us.

You can park for free on the street but sometimes you need to search a bit to find a space.

The holiday apartment is available on the day of your arrival from 4 p.m and we would ask you to check out on the day of your departure until 10 o clock in the morninig. This is to make sure that the holiday apartment can be prepared for the new guests.

There are growing fresh herbs of the season such as peppermint, melissa, sage, basil, chives….

The house is situated in the "scene-area" from Berlin - close by to the Kollwitzplatz and water-tower, one of the most-frequented club and bar centres in the new Berlin.

On foot you reach all further corners of the Prenzlauer Berg - like...

• the Kulturbrauerei (cinemas and a lot of clubs) or
• the Lychener Straße with more bars and cafés (by the way, there is a wonderful Cuban with good Mojito and a bar named "Weinstein" with Topinki - Czech invention for all of those that like garlic, plus the "Kegelheim" where you can play on the traditional Kegelheim - German 9-pin bowling in the cellar underneath the bar) or
• the Knaackstrasse with the café Pasternak, a russian restaurant with live music and just some steps away the "Hausbar", in which you still quench your thirst until five o'clock in the morning
• the Helmholtzplatz (the "old" heart of the Prenzlauer Berg) with the related Dunkerstrasse - a quarter with formerly many occupied houses
• the Jewish cemetery (high-ranking personalities have their last quiet site here, for example: Max Liebermann, Ludwig Bamberger, Eduard Lasker, Giacomo Meyerbeer)
• the Oderberger Straße and Kastanienallee (.... more bars, cafés and bistros...) or
• the Friedrich Ludwig Jahn - sporting park with the Max Schmeling - hall (various music and other events)
• and the Mauerpark.

So you can see - it will surely not be boring, even you don't leave the area around the flat.

But don´t worry- the Hackescher Markt and the Oranienburger Straße in the district Berlin-Mitte or further parts of the city are easy to reach. You have connection to subway, busses and streetcars. And if you are in a hurry: A taxi stand is around the corner. Down to the Alexanderplatz it is just a 10 minutes walk on foot.

The district Berlin Prenzlauer Berg or as well simply only Prenz'lberg is one the most popular residential - and one of the main going out-districts in Berlin.

You can reach the underground-station Senefelder Platz in approx. 3 minutes and from here... ...

• the Potsdamer Platz in approx. 20 minutes
• the Kurfürstendamm and the Zoologischen Garten in approx. 30 minutes
• the district Berlin-Mitte with a lot of museums; the Alexanderplatz with TV-tower with café and viewing platform, also the Hackeschen Höfe in just 10 minutes and
• the trade fair/exhibition ground in approx. 40 minutes
• the station Ostbahnhof in approx. 15 minutes

You have, in addition, the tram in front of the door (direction Hackescher Markt and Friedrichstrasse.)
